For any donors that have not donated we will contact you three times by mail, by email and by phone if we have your number and also attempt to contact your sponsor if we know who that is from the school or from your accounting firm. For any donors that have not been contacted we believe we have tax credits available for you and sending out donor request letters this week. If you are one of the few donors that we don't have credits for we will contact you as well and let you know what position you are on our wait list. There are many donors that still have to donate and we will most likely use up most of our wait list before year end or at worse ask some large donors to take smaller amounts as we work our way thru the list of donors who have not sent checks to the SPE's yet.
We are proud that this happens to us every December and that we don't ask DCED for too many tax credits and that our budgets and lists of preordered tax credits on joinders are used up every year. Our charity does not want to request credits we can't use that can be used by other charities and other donors.
You are welcome to send in 2019 joinders after today but most likely we will be out of credits but will keep any donors with joinders informed on a first come basis if any credits become available as we are getting in checks from donors thru the end of the year.
You are welcome to send in 2020 joinders and we will have January award letters that are already approved and you will be able to donate on our existing "second chance" 2020 tax credits in January February and March 2020 for 2020 tax credits.
Jim O'Donnell and his group at DCED got the award letters out early this year and they are all expiring at the end of November so while we ran out earlier this year we truly appreciated the extra time to communicate with donors this year due to Jim and his groups efforts on behalf of the Pennsylvania education tax credit program.
Tami, Randy, Kim, Casi, Ryan and our many volunteers have enjoyed serving the many schools in our network and look forward to providing EITC/OSTC and PreK tax credits to donors in 2020 in our network and some new schools as well. Thank you to all the donors for your support of your local schools. We really appreciate and honor the opportunity to help the donors and the schools with the Pennsylvania education tax credit process.
