DCED is about ready to start sending out 2016 award letters to donors that applied on May 15, 2016 and July 1, 2016. These donors will have 60 days to donate to a qualified EITC organization. There is a list of qualified EITC organization listed here:

131 scholarship organizations and 327 education improvement organizations are listed to date with more being added each week as their applications are processed by DCED officials.
When donors receive their official letters of award of tax credit they will have an opportunity to send a donation check to one or more of these organizations before year end at December 31, 2016. They will get most of their donation money back when they file their business tax return early next year and claim the awarded tax credit on their Pennsylvania tax return.
