Today December 23, 2022, we have received all of the funds for our 50+ SPE's and are closed for the year. We do have a few bounced checks and final deposits to make but all funds are in SPE's and transferred to Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund. This year is the latest we have closed our special purpose entity (SPE) donations. We had a large increase in SPE capacity of $6 million+, normal donor attrition of $4 million+ and new SPE awards from July 1 applications of $5 million+. Our charity has grown over $10 million this year in new donor funds. Thank you to all the new donors! Thank you and welcome to all the new schools!
2023 SPE joinders
Any joinders or requests received after today will be granted first in line place as a new donor for 2023. We do have a 2023 waiting list and we also have our existing new 2023 SPE awards and a few new July 1 application approvals for Spring 2023 as well as a modest increase in existing SPE EITC capacity. Our charity tries to have EITC credits available year-round for our schools that attempt to raise donor funds year-round. Please complete your one-page joinder applications for 2023 now so you are first in line as a new donor for 2023.

Billing requests will go out in early 2023 for existing spring donors as award letters are received from DCED. Typically Spring letters go out in early February and we will immediately bill existing donors for their 2023 donations. Tami Clark Executive Director will also attempt to get all of her schools lists of existing donors who are billed. It's a real busy time for our charity so we appreciate all the help and encouragement from our member schools and donors.
2023 K-1's
We are beginning the process of creating K-1s and 1123 forms for our 2022 year-end tax packets which will go out to donors for 2022 by mail in early February 2023. If you have any address changes, please provide in writing ASAP or we will be using your address on record or on your most recent joinder form to mail your K-1 packet.
Exciting News for the Charity
We have a pledge and lease in place to move to a close by building. The building is a former Citizen's Bank and has a drive thru if any donor would like to drop off their donation checks or pick up school scholarship checks! This building will be donated to our charity at no cost to the charity from a local donor. We are super excited to move into our permanent charity location in 2023. We will try to post pictures in 2023 so everyone can see our new location.

We are looking for a new permanent employee to join our charity. As the charity has grown, we need further assistance with our charity preschools and school relations. If you are interested in this new permanent position, please contact Tami Clark Executive Director for a full job description.
