EITC Donation Invoice Requests Start!

On Friday September 18th the first round of DCED fall award letters arrived and our charity send donation billing out to existing donors and a few new donors for donations during this past week.  On Friday September 25th the second and final round of DCED fall award letters arrived and next week we will be sending out donation billing to existing donors and new donors that have sent in joinders.  Because of Covid we expect to have significant shrinkage in existing donor amount.  Any existing donor is welcome to reduce their donation to the $3,500 minimum donation and remain in the existing donor pool for our charity.  

We have some available space for new donors from the two award increases we received and the three new special purpose entities we took over this year.  We do not expect DCED to issue additional credits from our July 1, 2020 requests but if they do we will have even more EITC credits for new donors.  

As existing donors reduce amounts or drop out we will fill their donation spots with new donors as we have in the past.  If you wish to be a new donor please complete and return a joinder with your name, address, social security number and school choice on the joinder form.  We are experiencing a high volume of new donor requests and we grant these requests on a first come first serve basis so its important to get your joinder reservations in soon so we can bill you soon from our fall EITC tax credits.  

In order to allow our credits to last as long as possible this fall into November and possibly even December our charity limited new donors to a $100,000 initial donation amount and existing donors are being limited to $500,000 annual amounts in an attempt to allow all donors at all schools to participate with until we run out of EITC tax credits.  This step taken this summer has allowed us to add plenty of new donors this fall.

We appreciate all our school and accountant volunteers who help us run this special purpose entity network for over 400 schools all over Pennsylvania.  We will formally announce when we run out of credits on our website hopefully in November or early December.  We immediately will offer new donors the option to be involved in our January 2021 tax credit requests with DCED.  We have plenty of room for new donors in this pool of credits and its a great way to redirect your 2021 PA tax credits early especially if you are use to paying Pennsylvania estimated taxes you can avoid completely this process for the new year.  

As in the past we will offer scholarships to schools from our fall tax credit donation group in January and our K-1's are expected to go out to donors in February 2021.
