EITC SPECIAL PURPOSE ENTITY YEAR END DONATIONS

House Bill 301
 
House Bill 301 was sent to the Governor's desk yesterday with an increase of $150 million in EITC and OSTC Tax Credits.  Our charity has $13,878,500 of July 1, 2023 EITC and OSTC tax credit requests at the DCED waiting on House Bill 301 to pass and go to the Governor's desk.  Once the governor signs this law, we will receive our award letters before December 31, 2023 from the DCED (Department of Community and Economic Development Agency -EITC/OSTC Division).
 
2023 Wait List Donors
 
We will be contacting donors who have completed joinders for their 2023 donation in the next few business days to write their 2023 EITC donation checks.  The checks will be made payable to Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund and deposited as award letters arrive.  Please send your checks as soon as possible due to the approaching holidays and year end right around the corner.  We are confident all wait list donors will receive 2023 Fall tax credits as long as their checks arrive soon.  We apologize for the delay as we normally ask for donations much sooner, but we needed to wait for the tax credits to be available.  ALL CHECKS MUST BE DATED AND POSTMARKED BY DECEMBER 28, 2023. 
 
2023 New Donors 
 
All new donors or schools that wish to add new donors before year end should have the donors deliver a check to our charity office by mail, overnight express mail or you can drop off at our new office! A joinder form will need to be included and you can call or email anyone at the office to obtain or your school will have a copy of our joinder applications.  As we have for many years, we will announce we are full and stop all new donations as soon as we are full for 2023.  Since we do have a lot of new EITC tax credits coming from our July 1, 2023 request we will have to stop taking new donors for sure on December 31, 2023, so please contact us soon and for the schools please help us get your donors checks in for deposit.  ALL CHECKS MUST BE DATED AND POSTMARKED BY DECEMBER 28, 2023.

Spring 2024 Donors
 
Our reminder to spring 2024 donors about existing donation amounts has been delayed because of the delay in fall 2023 EITC legislation.  We will be contacting all Spring 2024 donors before year end to remind them about their existing donation and to request they update their information for the Spring 2024 donation request invoice which should be going out as award letters arrive in February and March 2024.
